It all started when…

I've been singing and playing most of my life. It all started because of the encouragement of my dad, Leonard Helms, and his love for music and his love for God. Music is where I find myself most at home, especially singing in God's house. Whether it's singing the newest song heard on K-Love or remembering the music of the Chuckwagon Gang at Lake Norman Music Hall, I have always loved music. I am blessed to be the Music Ministry Associate (First Service leader) and help with leading the choir second service. I feel that music touches people in a way that spoken words can't. One byproduct of music is being able to memorize scripture which I feel is very important for everyone. I am blessed to have had a dad and a heavenly father who make music very important to me. My earnest prayer is that God will use me as he sees fit until He returns or I meet him there!
